Panasonic Announces its first Android tablet. It is to have a particularly robust housing. The multitouch display to the size of 10 inch and can be operated not only with the fingers, but in addition with a pen. Therefore is the Tablet for the sales force. The new tablet will be offered under the name Toughbook tablet. Various Toughbooks are already with the Windows operating system on the market. The Android Toughbook against dust and water should be protected as well as the Windows Toughbooks as Panasonic promises.
Panasonic makes no details which version of Android will be used. Is to be hoped that honeycomb, Android 3.0, or the new Android already used 3.1 ice cream sandwich. Also cannot be said yet whether the new Android Tablet has access to apps from the Android market. The first photos of new tablets have already surfaced. Accordingly, the tablet will be very flat and have a matte finish.
The Tablet has a tray in the Cabinet for the digitizer pen. The Tablet is equipped with GPS. A variant of UMTS should be available at an additional cost. When will the new tablet on the market and what will it cost, is still completely unknown. According to a spokeswoman from Panasonic could be already 2011 in the fourth quarter in the shops. We do not know whether it is already available in Germany.
