With the Samsung Galaxy tab 8.9 a real competitor for the iPad Announces 2. The Samsung Galaxy tab 8.9 to at least as thin as this be iPad 2, may however still thinner. The Galaxy tab 8.9 has an 8.9-inch touch screen. It should be not much thicker than a 3, 5 mm TRS connector. As already on photos, the Galaxy tab on the job, at the port is located will be slightly wider so that there is enough space for the connection. The value of 3.5 mm describes only the inner diameter of the port for headphones and the like. The thickness of the case depends on the diameter of the connection. The housing of less than 8 mm in thickness would be realistic. On the 22 March 2011 8.9 on the CTIA in Orlando will present the new Galaxy tab to Samsung. Let us surprise, whether it is still thinner than the iPad is 2.
In Germany we have to wait much longer 8.9 on the Galaxy tab, because it is to come on the market already the beginning of April 2011. The new Galaxy tab 8.9 is equipped with an Android operating system - so much is known. It is still not known whether it with Android 2.2 Froyo or already comes with the new honeycomb, Android 3.0. More technical data are not available yet, there is also no information on the price.
